Mouseover Terms of Service.

Last updated: May 25, 2026. By using the Mouseover macOS app, website, or APIs, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Mouseover is a beta macOS menu-bar app that provides screen-aware voice AI assistance, working session history, workflow memory, project guides, permission diagnostics, downloads, and related website and API features.

Accounts and beta access

Beta access may require Google sign-in and an invite code. You must provide accurate information, protect your account and device, and use only invite codes you are authorized to use. You may not share, sell, transfer, bypass, or abuse beta access.

Permissions and user control

Mouseover needs macOS permissions that you choose to grant for certain features, such as Microphone, Screen Recording, Screen Content, and Accessibility. You remain responsible for clicking, typing, deciding what to do next, and confirming that you have the right to share the screen, audio, text, and other content being processed.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Mouseover unlawfully, violate others' rights, harass people, or record or share another person's sensitive information without appropriate consent.
  • Do not use Mouseover for malware, attacks, unauthorized access, surveillance, deception, spam, or platform abuse.
  • Do not reverse engineer the service, bypass limits, interfere with safeguards, overload resources, or access data that is not yours.
  • Do not rely on Mouseover output as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other high-risk decisions.

AI output

AI output may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any suggestion, command, summary, code, link, or instruction.

Your content and feedback

You keep your rights to content you submit or process during a session. You allow Mouseover to process that content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the service. If you send ideas, bug reports, or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

Third-party services

Mouseover uses third-party services for sign-in, infrastructure, AI processing, website analytics, downloads, and updates, including Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, PostHog, and Sparkle update infrastructure. These services may process data under their own terms and policies.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. By using Mouseover, you also agree to that policy.

Beta changes and availability

Mouseover is in beta. We may change, limit, suspend, discontinue, or remove any feature, access, model, usage limit, download, website content, or API at any time. The service may be interrupted or contain errors.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Mouseover is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, fit for a particular purpose, or that any AI output will be correct. To the extent allowed by law, Mouseover is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, data-loss, or lost-profit damages.

Termination

You may stop using Mouseover at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, abuse the service, the beta ends, or legal or platform requirements require it.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continuing to use Mouseover after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
